If you want to know more, here's the link to my blog post. Once I get over the sheer relief and joy of having reached the finish line I will try to find a moment to reflect on what I have learned in the process.
I love it. I let my mind take it all in. It reminds me of city blocks, with a touch of ethnic flavor of the communities. Such as working man area (plaids). Urban gathering areas (blue large blocks) such as Court house, library, park. Little colored boxes in the grey linear area reminds me of when I was a kid and we would go through a tunnel on the subway. The rest reminds me of windows and city buildings with some of those windows facing the court yard (smaller blue rectangles). The dark area at the bottom right makes me think of the factory district. It took me back to when I lived in the Bronx by Fordham Road where the sound of the elevated subway was always present becoming part of the white noise. When it was not running you were more aware of the lack of sound. Thanks for the trip into my childhood. Aileen
Totally understand that phrase "sheer relief and joy of having reached the finish line." -- well done, you should be extremely pleased with the way this came together!
I love your comment of sheer relief and joy at having completed the quilt top!! It has been so interesting watching your progress on your blog and here and now looking forward to watching your quilting - no pressure!!!

You should definitely celebrate. It looks great!
Congratulations! Good lighting for the photo too.
I like Aileen's story, your quilt brought back a lot of memories for her.
